Step into the STEAM  2026 exhibition on the Pensacola Artwork Museum, and also you step into Pippin Frisbie-Calder’s fowl world: “Extinct, Threatened, Restored.”

Unfold throughout three partitions of the gallery, the exhibit showcases what’s at stake once we defend birds and the locations they want. Because the museum explains, “With floor-to-ceiling prints and work, this immersive, multi-media artwork set up transports individuals to the world’s first restored seabird colony” and past.  One wall is devoted to the Ivory-billed Woodpecker, believed to be extinct. On the center wall, Frisbie-Calder highlights songbird species experiencing threats to their survival, together with cats, migration hazards, a altering local weather, and extra. Lastly, on the third wall, Frisbie-Calder depicts puffins and their restored Maine populations.

What path will our favourite fowl species comply with? That’s as much as us. As a part of the exhibit, guests can take down one of many paper birds on the three partitions (they’re held in place by magnets). In the event that they take motion for birds – together with filling out an motion alert to members of Congress in help of the Forage Gish Conservation Act, accessible within the gallery itself.
