Because of the generosity of many donors, a brand new owl aviary is taking form in Maitland! Whereas we now have been closed to the general public, contractors have been onerous at work, and we’re excited to see the progress to this point. A concrete slab was poured to create a sturdy base, and wood beams are coming collectively to resemble an aviary. Subsequent, ponds inbuilt every part will allow the owls to remain cool and hydrated all through the new Central Florida summer time. There are even lined viewing areas so friends can keep cool, too. Native crops and up to date signage will cap off this historic refresh. We anticipate a grand opening in February, and we can not await the group to see the gorgeous new area.
Our owls sit up for transferring into their new houses across the finish of the 12 months, and we’re within the residence stretch of elevating funds to finish the aviary. To get us over the fundraising end line, all presents by the top of 2025 are being matched as much as $100,000.
Can you help us?
