    Mississippi Sound is a significant ecological lynchpin for the Gulf of Mexico that helps a whole bunch of chook and wildlife species, in addition to a novel coastal tradition and robust economic system. Fed by a number of rivers and streams, the estuary consists of barrier islands, wetlands, and maritime forests, and stretches past Mississippi’s borders to assist wholesome coastal ecosystems in Louisiana and Alabama.
