Discover This Chook
Killdeer are surprisingly unobtrusive even on inexperienced lawns, regardless of their heat tawny coloration. Look fastidiously over lawns, short-mown fields, and even parking tons, and pay attention for the far-carrying kill-deer. (If you hear this name, the chook could also be in flight. Search for it circling you, flying stiffly on lengthy, pointed wings. It might resemble an American Kestrel, at the very least till it lands on the bottom and begins strolling.) Although they’re usually discovered on dry land, you also needs to search for them on the perimeters of freshwater ponds and muddy lagoons.
