    Kristal Stoner Named Recipient of the Harold L. Wiegers Nebraska Outstanding Conservation Award

    Audubon Nice Plains is worked up to announce the Harold L. Wiegers Nebraska Excellent Conservation Award has been awarded to Kristal Stoner, Vice President and Government Director of Audubon Nice Plains, in recognition of her excellent management and lasting contributions to wildlife conservation. 

    This prestigious award honors members of the Nebraska group who’ve devoted their work to the conservation of wildlife whereas inspiring others by means of their work and accomplishments. Named after Dr. Harold L. Wiegers, longtime professor and founding father of the College of Nebraska, Lincoln’s fisheries and wildlife program. This award displays a legacy of management, training, and dedication to defending pure sources. Members of the UNL Wildlife Membership solicit nominations for this award every spring, and the Wildlife Membership’s officer crew selects the winner of the award. 

    As Government Director of Audubon Nice Plains, Stoner has been a number one voice for habitat conservation throughout the area. Stoner’s accomplishments embody supporting safety of the Nebraska Environmental Belief funding, supporting wildlife conservation efforts and habitat safety throughout the state, and backing academic and outreach alternatives for the group by means of wildlife programming at Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Middle and on the Iain Nicolson Audubon Middle at Rowe Sanctuary. 

    “This recognition is very significant as a result of it displays a shared dedication to conserving wildlife and the locations they rely upon, and to inspiring others to care concerning the pure world round us, mentioned Stoner”. “I’ve been lucky to work alongside unimaginable colleagues, companions, and communities who carry ardour, creativity, and dedication to this work each day.”
