    70 Bengal Cats Rescued from UK Home Exposes ‘Backyard Breeding’ Crisis

    An animal welfare charity in the UK is interesting for donations after rescuing 70 Bengal cats crowded in a single home in Runcorn, England.

    Warrington Animal Welfare, who facilitated this large-scale rescue, described it as “an instance of backstreet breeding at its worst.” The charity revealed they’ve by no means taken in such an enormous variety of felines earlier than, including that they discovered the cats in appalling circumstances.

    Based on BBC News, Warrington Animal Welfare carried out the mass rescue on Feb. 28 after receiving reviews of the uncared for felines on the Runcorn property. Out of the 70 cats rescued, 28 are adults and the remaining are kittens.

    The charity discovered the Bengal cats — who can every fetch as excessive as £1,000 — crowded in cages. Sadly, they’re battling varied illnesses, together with cat flu, eye points, malnutrition, and abdomen issues.

    At the moment, the cats are receiving veterinary therapy and care.

    “They may all want neutering, vaccinating, and veterinary care to get them again to full well being,” Warrington Animal Welfare stated in an announcement. “We’re interesting for dry kitten food, gastrointestinal cat food (each moist and dry), and fortiflora probiotic sachets.”

    “We have to buy LOTS of eye drops to deal with some poorly eyes, vaccinations for all of the cats, and we have to increase funds to pay for all of them to be neutered.”

    Furthermore, the U.Okay.-based charity shared they’ll place the cats up for adoption as soon as they’re in fine condition health-wise.
